Brief Description  Chopping Mall (1986) is a cult-classic American techno-horror comedy film directed by Jim Wynorski and produced by Julie Corman. The plot follows a group of teenagers trapped inside a high-tech shopping center after hours where three rogue security robots go on a murderous rampage. Originally test-screened under the title Killbots, the movie blends traditional slasher setups with cheesy 1980s science fiction and dark humor.

Plot:
The newly built Park Plaza Mall introduces a state-of-the-art security system consisting of three "Protector 101" robotic sentries. During a massive electrical storm, a freak bolt of lightning strikes the mall's mainframe, frying the control unit and causing the robots to malfunction. Instead of safely patrolling the building, the machines transform into remorseless "killbots" armed with lasers, tranquilizer darts, claws, and explosives. At the same time, a group of teenage mall employees stay behind after hours to throw a secret party inside a furniture store. When the mall automatically locks down for the night, the teenagers find themselves hunted room by room and must use the retail supplies around them to fight back and survive until dawn.
