Brief Description  Hard Rock Zombies is a 1985 American horror-comedy film directed and co-written by Krishna Shah. Infamous for its chaotic, "so-bad-it's-good" camp value, the movie blends low-budget 1980s heavy metal culture with an intentionally absurd, unpredictable plot. The movie was originally shot as a short, 20-minute "fake movie" segment intended to play in the background of another film, American Drive-In (1985). However, the creators fell in love with the ridiculous premise and expanded it into a full 94-minute feature film.

Plot:
A heavy metal band travels to a remote town called Grand Guignol to perform a gig. The local inhabitants turn out to be a bizarre community of mutants, werewolves, dwarves, and a hidden cult of music-hating Nazis led by Adolf Hitler. After the cult murders the band members, a young local fan named Cassie accidentally resurrects them as zombies by playing a recorded song containing incantations from a Latin text/grimoire. The undead rockers return to perform and inadvertently cause an outbreak of ghouls in the town before a chaotic finale involving poison gas and surreal town defense tactics.
