Villian(s)  Man transformed by toxic waste

Actor(s):  Andree Maranda, Mitchell Cohen, Pat Ryan Jr., Jennifer Babtist

Brief Description  The Toxic Avenger (1984) is an American superhero black comedy splatter film directed by Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman. It is the signature work of Troma Entertainment, an independent film studio famous for its low-budget, campy, and ultra-violent B-movies. Originally conceptualized as a serious horror film titled "Health Club Horror," it evolved into a satirical, gore-filled superhero parody. It relies heavily on extreme practical effects, grindhouse flair, and slapstick humor.

Plot:
The story takes place in the fictional town of Tromaville, New Jersey, the toxic waste capital of the world. Melvin Ferd Junko III is a scrawny, 98-pound janitor who is relentlessly bullied by the cruel patrons of the local health club. After a vicious, humiliating prank goes wrong, Melvin panics and jumps out of a third-story window, landing directly inside a misplaced vat of toxic waste. The chemicals trigger a horrific mutation, transforming him into a massive, hideously deformed mutant with superhuman strength. Armed with a mop and a strict moral compass, Melvin adopts the moniker "Toxie" and becomes a ruthless vigilante. He sets out to violently destroy street crime, drug dealers, and the town's deeply corrupt mayor, all while falling in love with a blind woman named Sara.
