Brief Description  The Power is a 1984 American supernatural horror film directed and written by Stephen Carpenter and Jeffrey Obrow. The B-movie centers on a small, ancient Aztec clay idol that houses an evil demonic spirit named Destacatyl. According to lore, this demon has the ability to control human souls.

Plot:
The film splits its narrative between high school students experimenting with a Ouija board and a local reporter. When a man named Jerry (Warren Lincoln) comes into possession of the ancient artifact, the demon takes complete control of his body and mind. The possession causes a drastic, horrifying personality shift, turning Jerry into a violent vehicle for the demon. He begins terrorizing those around him, leading to telekinetic phenomena, gruesome body-horror transformations, and a string of bizarre, supernatural murders.
