Brief Description  Ghoulies is a 1984 American horror-comedy film that follows a young man who inherits his late father's estate and inadvertently summons a horde of mischievous, slimy little demons. Directed by Luca Bercovici in his directorial debut, the movie was produced by Charles Band’s Empire Pictures. While it was initially intended to be a dark occult horror film, it shifted toward a campy comedy style during production. It is widely remembered for its iconic marketing campaign featuring a creature popping out of a toilet bowl.

Plot:
The story begins with an infant named Jonathan Graves being saved from his satanic father, Malcolm, who attempts to sacrifice him during a black magic ritual. Twenty-five years later, the adult Jonathan (Peter Liapis) learns his father has died and inherits the decaying family mansion. He moves into the estate with his girlfriend, Rebecca (Lisa Pelikan). While exploring, Jonathan uncovers his father's occult books and paraphernalia, quickly becoming obsessed with ancient rituals. During a housewarming party, Jonathan jokingly performs a black magic ceremony with his friends. The ritual accidentally works, unleashing the Ghoulies—a small group of hairy, fanged, and slimy minions from hell. As Jonathan falls deeper under the house's dark influence, the creatures begin terrorizing the guests, and Jonathan's undead father is resurrected to reclaim his power.
