Plot:
The story begins when a meteorite crashes to Earth near a small town, unleashing a breed of aggressive, multi-toothed, flesh-eating alien parasites. The blind, sound-sensitive creatures find their way into the basement of a nearby suburban household. After the creature quickly devours the family's parents, it begins reproducing rapidly. The home becomes a claustrophobic trap for a group of teenagers and a young, monster-movie-obsessed boy named Charles. Utilizing his knowledge of horror films, Charles figures out that the organisms are completely blind and hunt strictly by sound, leading to a desperate struggle to destroy the mother creature before the spawn can spread to the rest of the world.
