Brief Description
Bloody Birthday is a 1981 American independent slasher film directed by Ed Hunt, produced by Gerald T. Olson, and starring Susan Strasberg, José Ferrer, and Lori Lethin. Its plot follows a group of three children born on the same day during a solar eclipse who begin committing murders on their tenth birthdays. Despite mixed reception, it has since accrued a cult following.
Plot:
The story begins on June 9, 1970, when three children are born in the same small town during a total solar eclipse. Because the sun and moon blocked Saturn—the planet that astrologically controls emotions—the children are born completely devoid of a conscience or empathy. Ten years later, as their joint tenth birthday approaches, the three children—Debbie, Curtis, and Steven—form an evil alliance and embark on a sudden, cold-blooded murder spree. They weaponize their youthful, innocent facades to systematically kill family members, neighbors, and teachers using guns, arrows, bats, and ropes. The tension peaks when a local boy, Timmy, and his teenage sister, Joyce, stumble onto the bloody truth and become the kids' next targets.
