Brief Description  Zombie Lake (originally titled Le lac des morts vivants) is a 1981 French-Spanish Eurociné horror film directed by Jean Rollin (under the pseudonym J.A. Laser). It is a notorious example of low-budget, Z-grade "Nazi zombie" and "sexploitation" cinema. Unlike traditional brain-eating zombies, the creatures in Zombie Lake act more like vampires, actively drinking the blood of their victims.

Plot:
During World War II, a small patrol of German Nazi soldiers is ambushed by the French Resistance in a countryside village. To cover up the incident, the local villagers dump the soldiers' bodies into a nearby body of water known as the "Lake of Ghosts". Twenty years later, the undead, decomposing Nazis rise from their watery graves. Awakened largely by a series of local women who frequently go skinny-dipping in the lake, the green-skinned zombies begin terrorizing and killing the townspeople. The plot features a unique sub-plot: one of the Nazi zombies (played by Pierre-Marie Escourrou) retains residual memories of a local woman he loved during the war. He emerges from the water not just to kill, but to locate and protect the young daughter (Anouchka Lesoeur) he never knew he had. The town's mayor, played by horror icon Howard Vernon, must ultimately work with the remaining townspeople and a visiting reporter to stop the undead slaughter.
