Brief Description
Witchcraft II: The Temptress (1990) is an American direct-to-video supernatural horror film directed by Mark Woods. It serves as the second installment in the long-running Witchcraft horror franchise. Shifting away from the Rosemary's Baby-style tone of the first movie, this sequel leans heavily into a mix of low-budget horror, supernatural manipulation, and erotic thriller elements.
Plot:
The story picks up roughly 18 years after the events of the original Witchcraft film. William Adams (played by Charles Solomon Jr.) is a seemingly ordinary teenager living in the suburbs with his parents. Unbeknownst to William, he was adopted. His adoptive parents are actually "white witches" who originally belonged to a dark coven. Disagreeing with the coven's evil intent, they stole William away as an infant to protect him and hide his true heritage. William is the biological spawn of a powerful warlock and is prophesied to be an heir to Satan. As William navigates typical teenage life—complete with an affinity for playing air guitar and a relationship with his girlfriend, Michelle—the dark coven tracks him down. Elizabeth, the malevolent witch from the first film, returns in a new form. Reborn or transformed into a sultry woman named Delores Jones, she moves in next door to the Adams family.
Delores's primary mission is to corrupt William and bring him over to the dark side to fulfill his satanic destiny. Recognizing that his weaknesses are tied to teenage desire, she uses seduction as her primary weapon. Delores orchestrates mind games and supernatural hallucinations, tricking William into believing that Michelle is cheating on him with his best friend, Boomer. As Delores preys on William's isolation and jealousy, she leaves bizarre occult packages on his doorstep and systematically targets his friends. Anyone who stands in her way faces supernatural violence. Ultimately, William is forced into a final, lonely confrontation where he must harness his own latent magical abilities to defeat Delores, reject the temptation of evil, and preserve his humanity.
