Brief Description  Night of the Living Dead (1990) is an American zombie horror film directed by special effects artist Tom Savini and written by George A. Romero, serving as the official, bloodier remake of Romero's iconic 1968 black-and-white original. Filmed in Washington County, Pennsylvania, on a $4.2 million budget, the remake was created in part so that Romero and his original partners could legally reclaim and profit from the copyright they lost on the 1968 film.

Plot:
When a mysterious radioactive space probe causes the recently deceased to rise as flesh-hungry ghouls, a group of seven strangers becomes trapped together in an isolated farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania. Inside, the refugees argue over how to survive: the pragmatic and capable Ben wants to fortify the upper floors, the volatile Harry Cooper demands everyone hide in the cramped cellar, and the traumatized female lead, Barbara, slowly transforms from a catatonic victim into a fierce survivor. As the cannibalistic horde breaks through the defenses, internal fighting and failed escape attempts lead to tragedy for nearly everyone inside.
