Brief Description
Child's Play 2 is a 1990 American supernatural slasher film written by Don Mancini and directed by John Lafia. It is a sequel to Child's Play (1988) and the second installment in the Child's Play franchise. The film follows Chucky continuing his pursuit for Andy Barclay, who was placed in foster care, and transferring his soul into him after being resurrected.
Plot:
Set two years after the events of the first film, the Play Pals toy company decides to rebuild the destroyed Good Guy doll to dispel negative media publicity. This corporate cleanup inadvertently resurrects the demonic soul of serial killer Charles Lee Ray. Meanwhile, young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) is placed in the foster care system because his institutionalized mother was discredited by authorities. Chucky tracks Andy to his new suburban home, aiming to transfer his soul into the boy's human body before he becomes permanently trapped in plastic form. Andy and his resilient older foster sister, Kyle (Christine Elise), must fight for survival, leading to a frantic showdown inside a high-tech toy manufacturing facility.
