Brief Description
Basket Case 2 is a 1990 American comedy horror film written and directed by Frank Henenlotter, and the sequel to his 1981 film Basket Case. It stars Kevin Van Hentenryck reprising his role as Duane Bradley, who moves with his deformed, formerly conjoined twin brother Belial into a home for "unique individuals" run by their deceased aunt's friend, eccentric philanthropist Granny Ruth.
Plot:
Picking up immediately after the window-fall climax of the first movie, conjoined twins Duane and Belial Bradley survive and become national media sensations. They are rescued from a city hospital by their long-lost aunt, eccentric philanthropist Granny Ruth, and her pregnant granddaughter Susan.
The twins are taken to a secluded Staten Island mansion that functions as a safe-haven commune for a bizarre menagerie of "unique individuals" and deformed outcasts. While there, Belial falls in love with a female mutant torso named Eve, experiencing a strange romance, while Duane attempts to distance himself from his brother to pursue a normal life with Susan. Peace is shattered when aggressive tabloid reporters track down the commune to exploit the residents, prompting the grotesque sanctuary members to strike back violently in defense of their privacy. Gabe Bartalos designed the elaborate prosthetic creature effects and animatronic puppetry for Belial and the 22 unique residents.
