Brief Description  Puppet Master (also titled The Puppet Master and Puppetmaster) is a 1989 American horror film written by Charles Band and Kenneth J. Hall, and directed by David Schmoeller. The film stars Paul Le Mat, Irene Miracle, Matt Roe and Kathryn O'Reilly as psychics who are plotted against by a former colleague, using puppets animated by an Egyptian spell.

Plot:
The plot begins in 1939 at the Bodega Bay Inn, where an elderly puppeteer named André Toulon uses an ancient Egyptian spell to bring his uniquely lethal marionettes to life. To keep his animation secrets out of the hands of tracking Nazi spies, Toulon hides the puppets in a wall compartment and dies by suicide. Fifty years later, a group of four psychics are summoned to the same secluded hotel, where they discover their former colleague faked his death and is utilizing Toulon's spell for his own quest for immortality. Soon, the psychics find themselves stalked and viciously hunted through the hotel by the animated killer puppets—including iconic characters like Blade, Pinhead, Jester, Tunneler, and Leech Woman. Celebrated for its creative stop-motion practical effects by David Allen, the film has achieved enduring B-movie cult status and spawned a massive franchise with over a dozen sequels and spin-offs.
