Brief Description  Pet Sematary (1989) is a supernatural horror film directed by Mary Lambert and written by Stephen King, based on his terrifying 1983 novel. The story follows Dr. Louis Creed (Dale Midkiff) and his family after they relocate from Chicago to a rural home in Ludlow, Maine, which sits dangerously close to a busy highway and a makeshift graveyard where local children bury their deceased pets.
Plot:

When the family's beloved cat, Church, is struck and killed by a truck on the highway, their elderly neighbor Jud Crandall (Fred Gwynne) introduces Louis to a dark, hidden secret. Deep in the woods beyond the local cemetery lies an ancient Micmac burial ground possessing the mystical power to reanimate the dead. Louis buries the cat there, and it returns to life the next day—but it is noticeably altered, aggressive, and foul-smelling. Tragedy strikes again when the Creeds' toddler son, Gage (Miko Hughes), is killed by a speeding truck. Desperate and blinded by grief, Louis ignores the ghostly premonitions of a former patient, Victor Pascow, as well as Jud's haunting warnings that "sometimes, dead is better". He exhumes Gage and buries him in the cursed soil. Gage returns as a malevolent, murderous entity, triggering a bloody sequence of events that tears the family apart.
