Brief Description  The 1989 film Night Life (also known as Grave Misdemeanors) is an American horror-comedy zombie film directed by David Acomba. The movie stars Scott Grimes as Archie Melville, Cheryl Pollak as Charly Dorn, and John Astin as Uncle Verlin. Unlike traditional, slow-moving flesh-eaters, the zombies in Night Life are fast, can drive cars, use weapons, speak, and even retain their high school social dynamics.

Plot:
The story follows Archie Melville, a nerdy high school student who works part-time at his uncle's mortuary to save up for college tuition. Archie is relentlessly tormented by a group of popular high school jocks and their girlfriends. After a cruel prank orchestrated by the bullies costs Archie his job and his college funds, the group of tormentors is suddenly killed in a horrific car accident. Their bodies are brought directly to his uncle's mortuary. While Archie is working a late shift, a freak lightning storm strikes the building, reanimating the dead teenagers as highly intelligent, fast-moving zombies. Rather than craving flesh, these undead bullies maintain their personalities and continue their mission to terrorize Archie from beyond the grave. Alongside his resourceful tomboy friend Charly, Archie must fight for survival through a night of gory, action-packed mayhem.
