Brief Description  House III: The Horror Show (also known simply as The Horror Show) is a 1989 American supernatural slasher film directed by James Isaac and produced by Sean S. Cunningham. The movie stars Lance Henriksen as Detective Lucas McCarthy and Brion James as the psychotic serial killer Max "The Cleaver" Jenke. Although developed and released internationally as the third installment in the House franchise, it was marketed as a standalone movie in the United States because its tone is a straight, gritty horror film rather than the horror-comedy style of its predecessors.

Plot:
The story follows Detective Lucas McCarthy, who is finally able to breathe a sigh of relief after apprehending the notorious serial killer Max Jenke. McCarthy attends Jenke's execution by electric chair, where the unrepentant killer promises to return and take his revenge. The execution appears successful, but the high-voltage surge only serves to elevate Jenke's consciousness to another level of reality. Soon after, Jenke returns from the dead as a malicious, electricity-powered spirit. He begins terrorizing McCarthy and his family inside their own home, blurring the lines between reality and graphic, terrifying hallucinations. As his sanity is brought into question, Detective McCarthy must find a way to destroy Jenke's spirit for good to protect his family and reclaim his home.
