Brief Description
Curse II: The Bite (1989), originally titled The Bite, is an Italian-American-Japanese body horror road movie directed by Frederico Prosperi (under the pseudonym Fred Goodwin). Despite its title, it is a sequel in name only to the 1987 film The Curse, sharing no plot connections or characters with its predecessor.
Plot:
The story follows young lovers Clark (J. Eddie Peck) and Lisa (Jill Schoelen) as they travel across the American Southwest. After taking a shortcut through an abandoned, restricted nuclear test site, Clark is bitten on the hand by a mutant, radioactive snake. The bite triggers a horrific, slow metamorphosis. Rather than healing, Clark’s hand and arm gradually mutate into a living, vicious snake head. As the mutation takes over his mind and body, the snake-hand begins attacking and killing anyone they encounter. Clark tries to flee to protect Lisa, but she pursues him across the desert alongside a local sheriff (Bo Svenson) and Harry Morton (Jamie Farr)—a traveling salesman operating as a quack doctor whose incorrect medicine only accelerates the gruesome transformation.
