Brief Description  The Unnamable is a 1988 American horror film directed, written, and produced by Jean-Paul Ouellette. It is based on H. P. Lovecraft's short story of the same name. The film is about a group of university students that made the poor decision to stay overnight in a 'haunted house'. Mark Kinsey Stephenson played the lead role, Randolph Carter (a well known H.P. Lovecraft character), alongside Charles King.

Plot:
The story begins in 18th-century Arkham, where a warlock named Joshua Winthrop is brutally murdered by a monstrous, horned creature born to his wife—a beast so hideously malformed that she refused to give it a name. Centuries later in the 1980s, a group of student skeptics from Miskatonic University debate local myths about the old Winthrop property. A few students decide to test their courage by spending the night in the abandoned, boarded-up mansion. They inadvertently wake "The Unnamable," a fatalistic demon trapped in a hidden vault, who begins picking them off limb by limb. It is up to aspiring horror author Randolph Carter and his friend Howard Damon to navigate the house and survive the slaughter. Instead of the shapeless, shifting slime described in Lovecraft's text, the film reimagines the creature as a nimble, horned female demon (played by Katrin Alexandre).
