Brief Description
The Kiss is a 1988 supernatural horror film directed by Pen Densham that follows a teenage girl who is terrorized by an ancient, parasitic bloodline curse passed down through a physical kiss. The film blends elements of witchcraft, body horror, and late-1980s camp.
Plot:
The story begins with an prologue showing a young girl who is forced to inherit an ancient, malicious curse from her aunt via an unsettling kiss. Decades later, that girl has grown up to become Felice Dunbar (Joanna Pacula), an exotic jet-setting fashion model. Felice contacts her estranged sister, Hilary, explaining that she must now pass the hereditary bloodline curse onto a new relative. Shortly after this warning, Hilary dies in a horrific freak accident. Felice arrives in suburban Albany, New York, weaving her way into the grieving household. While Hilary's vulnerable widower Jack (Nicholas Kilbertus) is easily seduced and mesmerized by Felice, his teenage daughter Amy (Meredith Salenger) is immediately suspicious. As bizarre, gruesome deaths begin claiming those around her, Amy realizes her aunt is utilizing sinister magic to systematically isolate her and steal her body.
