Actor(s):  Cliff De Young, Roxanne Hart, Joey Lawrence, Charles Tyner

Brief Description  Pulse is a 1988 American science fiction horror film written and directed by Paul Golding. The film's title refers to a highly aggressive and intelligent pulse of electricity that terrorizes the occupants of a suburban house in Los Angeles, California. The film was produced through Columbia Pictures and the Aspen Film Society and distributed by Columbia Pictures. The titular Pulse and its accompanying elements were designed by Cinema Research Corporation.

Plot:
Once inside a home, the entity gains control of everyday household appliances (such as televisions, thermostats, and water heaters), turning ordinary modern conveniences into lethal traps to terrorize and kill the occupants. The story focuses on 11-year-old David Rockland (Joey Lawrence), who is visiting his divorced father, Bill (Cliff De Young), and stepmother, Ellen (Roxanne Hart). After noticing strange electrical anomalies and witnessing the entities' deadly behavior, David tries to warn his family. True to the "technophobic" genre, his parents initially dismiss his fears until the entities' attacks escalate, severely injuring Ellen in a superheated shower and trapping the family inside a high-voltage domestic death trap.
