Brief Description  Phantasm II (1988) is a higher-budget science-fiction action-horror sequel written and directed by Don Coscarelli that shifts the surreal, dreamlike tone of the 1979 original into a fast-paced, weapon-loaded cross-country chase. It was followed by two direct-to-video sequels: Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead (1994) and Phantasm IV: Oblivion (1998) as well as the final film in the Phantasm franchise: Phantasm: Ravager (2016), which received a theatrical release.

Plot:
Eight years after surviving their initial horrifying encounter, Mike Pearson is released from a psychiatric hospital where he recovered from his trauma. Fully aware that the malevolent, grave-robbing Tall Man is still active, Mike recruits his loyal friend Reggie to hunt the supernatural mortician down. Along the road, they join forces with Liz Reynolds, a young woman who shares a powerful psychic connection to Mike and prophetic nightmares of the Tall Man's grim harvest. Armed with homemade quad-barrel shotguns and chainsaws, the duo tracks the undertaker through deserted small towns in a relentless battle against flying silver sentinel spheres and hooded dwarf minions.
