Villian(s)  Alien parasite

Actor(s):  Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Nouri, Claudia Christian, Clu Gulager

Brief Description  The Hidden (1987) is a fast-paced, cult-classic science fiction action-horror film directed by Jack Sholder. The story blends the high-octane tropes of an 80s buddy-cop movie with a grotesque body-horror premise.

Plot:
The narrative centers on a parasitic, slug-like extraterrestrial creature that arrives in Los Angeles. The creature possesses the bodies of innocent, law-abiding citizens by entering through their mouths. Once inside a host, it takes complete control, transforming them into hyperviolent, hedonistic psychopaths. The alien is driven entirely by immediate gratification—harboring an unearthly fondness for fast Ferraris, heavy metal music, mass consumption, and random acts of extreme violence.

When a host body becomes too damaged from police gunfire, the parasite simply crawls out and jumps into a new human vessel, leaving a trail of bizarre, inexplicable crimes across the city. As the body-snatching alien moves rapidly from middle-aged men to strippers and politicians, Beck and Gallagher must race against time through explosive shootouts and high-speed car chases to destroy the creature before it achieves ultimate power.
