Actor(s):  Rachel Golden, Brendan Hickey, Temple Aaron, Deborah Carroll

Brief Description  I Married a Vampire is a 1987 independent horror-comedy satire directed by Jay Raskin and distributed as hyper-camp counterprogramming by cult studio Troma Entertainment. The movie is told largely in flashbacks after Viola picks up her parents from the airport and casually drops the bombshell that her new husband is a creature of the night.

Plot:
The story follows Viola (played by Rachel Golden), a young, naive country girl who flees her overbearing parents in Iowa for the big city. Instead of finding opportunity, she is systematically conned, broke, and mistreated by everyone she encounters. Her luck changes when she meets a mysterious, eccentric stranger named Robespierre (Brendan Hickey). Viola quickly realizes that Robespierre and his "sister" Olivia are actually vampires. Rather than running away, she embraces the dark side, falls in love, and marries him. Armed with her new husband's supernatural powers, Viola embarks on a bloody, comedic quest for ultimate revenge against the urban grifters who wronged her.
