Brief Description
Ghoulies II (1987) is an American horror-comedy sequel directed by Albert Band. The film follows a pack of small, demonic, gremlin-like creatures who hitch a ride on a truck and wreak havoc inside a traveling carnival. The film famously embraces the original movie's marketing gimmick by featuring a scene where a Ghoulie emerges from a toilet to terrorize a victim.
Plot:
The story begins when the little monsters sneak into a truck driven by Larry (Damon Martin) and his Uncle Ned (Royal Dano), who run a failing carnival haunted house attraction called "Satan's Den". Once they arrive at the fairgrounds, the Ghoulies hide inside the attraction. When the creatures start appearing in front of the carnival customers, the audience assumes they are just high-quality special effects. "Satan's Den" suddenly becomes a massive, highly profitable success. However, the novelty quickly turns to horror when the Ghoulies begin brutally attacking and killing the patrons and staff. They sabotage standard carnival mainstays—causing lethal chaos on the bumper cars, the shooting gallery, and the "Rotor" ride. It is up to Larry, a wire-walker named Nicole (Kerry Remsen), and a dwarf stage performer named Sir Nigel Penneyweight (Phil Fondacaro) to use an ancient incantation to stop the creatures before they destroy the entire fairground.
