Brief Description  TerrorVision (1986) is an American science fiction horror comedy film directed by Ted Nicolaou and produced by the cult-classic studio Empire International Pictures. The film is celebrated for its absurd, over-the-top 1980s aesthetic, neon visual style, and highly exaggerated "camp" tone. It has developed a strong "so bad it's good" cult following over the decades.

Plot:
The story begins on a distant alien planet where a civilization utilizes a malfunctioning system to dispose of its biological waste by converting it into light energy beams. One of these mutated trash monsters—a slimy, rubbery blob creature with many eyes and fangs—is accidentally broadcast into space. Back on Earth, the eccentric, swingers-obsessed yuppie Putterman family installs a massive, state-of-the-art satellite television dish in their backyard. When a stray bolt of lightning strikes the dish, it intercepts the alien transmission, allowing the gluttonous "Hungry Beast" monster to jump right out of the television screen into their home.

The creature begins to run amok, devouring family members one by one and using a bizarre ability to mimic their severed heads to trick the remaining survivors. It is up to the younger Putterman children, Sherman and Suzy—alongside Suzy's heavy-metal-loving boyfriend O.D.—to team up and figure out a way to tame or stop the ravenous beast before it consumes everyone in sight. The movie is highly distinct for its incredibly bright, rainbow-hued lighting, Andy Warhol-inspired art direction, and exaggerated parodies of suburban yuppie culture. The monster itself is a grotesque, slime-slathered puppet created using classic, tangible B-movie practical effects.
