Brief Description  Rawhead Rex is a 1986 British-Irish fantasy horror film directed by George Pavlou. The screenplay was written by renowned horror author Clive Barker, who adapted it directly from his own short story of the same name featured in volume three of his celebrated Books of Blood anthology. Clive Barker famously disliked the final film. Although he wrote the script, he felt the monster's look—which resembles a hulking, red-eyed ogre with a mohawk—deviated wildly from his original vision.

Plot:
Set in the rural Irish countryside, the plot follows an American professor, Howard Hallenbeck, who travels to a remote village with his family to research ancient religious artifacts and sacred sites. Meanwhile, an unwitting local farmer accidentally removes an ominous stone column from a field, inadvertently unleashing Rawhead Rex—a towering, ancient pagan deity and bloodthirsty demon that has been imprisoned underground for centuries. As the monstrous beast embarks on a violent, gory rampage through the picturesque village and its surrounding trailer parks, it drives a local church verger insane, turning him into a fanatical servant. After the monster tragically strikes close to the professor's family, Hallenbeck takes it upon himself to uncover the ancient parish records and find a mythical talisman capable of destroying the seemingly unstoppable force of pure evil.
