Brief Description  Raiders of the Living Dead (1986) is a cult B-horror zombie film directed by Samuel M. Sherman (who heavily reworked and completed an unfinished project by director Brett Piper). Bizarre Mashup: Because of its fractured production history, the final theatrical cut is widely known for its eccentric blend of wildly unmatched elements—including nuclear terrorists, mad scientists, a roasted hamster, and footage of The Three Stooges.

Plot:
On a remote island off the East Coast, a mad doctor sets up a laboratory inside an abandoned prison. There, he successfully begins reviving executed convicts as the living dead. The story follows two separate paths that eventually collide: A journalist named Morgan Randall catches wind of mysterious disappearances and strange goings-on, leading him to investigate the island with the help of a local librarian. Jonathan, a young genius, accidentally invents a functional "death ray" laser gun using spare parts from a LaserDisc video player. Alongside his grandfather and his girlfriend, Jonathan decides to actively hunt down the walking dead. Everything culminates in a chaotic, low-budget final showdown inside the prison caverns as the reporter, the teenager, and his makeshift laser gun try to rescue a victim and put an end to the zombie outbreak.
