Villian(s)  Teleporting creature

Actor(s):  Donald Grant, Denise DuBarry, Claude Akins, Howard Duff

Brief Description  Monster in the Closet (1986) is a campy, low-budget horror-comedy directed and written by Bob Dahlin and distributed by cult-classic studio Troma Entertainment. The film functions as a loving parody of 1950s B-movie creature features and popular horror blockbusters. The creature is a child-like, dirt-brown rubber suit monster portrayed by 7'2" actor Kevin Peter Hall, who famously went on to play the titular alien in Predator (1987) and Harry in Harry and the Hendersons.

Plot:
The story takes place in a quiet college town near San Francisco, which is suddenly plagued by a series of bizarre and gruesome murders. The common denominator? Every single victim is attacked and killed inside their own closet. A mild-mannered obituary writer named Richard Clark (Donald Grant) is sent by his editor to cover the story, which the newspaper initially suspects is a complete hoax. While investigating, Richard teams up with a local science professor, Diane Bennett (Denise DuBarry), and her brilliant, highly intelligent young son, nicknamed "Professor". They quickly discover that the culprit is not a human maniac, but a literal, indestructible monster that teleports or travels from closet to closet.

As the creature's rampage escalates and spreads, the U.S. Army gets involved under the command of a trigger-happy general. However, conventional military firepower proves entirely useless against the beast. It falls upon Richard, Diane, and her son to uncover the monster's weakness and save the world from this unusual, wardrobe-dwelling threat. The film is widely known today for featuring the very first film roles of two future stars: a young Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious) playing the brilliant son, and Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson (later of the Black Eyed Peas), who appears as one of the monster's early victims.
