Brief Description  Deadly Friend is a 1986 American science fiction horror film directed by horror maestro Wes Craven. The movie follows a teenage computer prodigy who implants a robot's microprocessor into the brain of his brain-dead neighbor. While the experiment successfully revives her, she quickly morphs into an uncontrollable killer, turning their quiet suburban neighborhood into a bloodbath.

Plot:
The story centers on Paul Conway, a brilliant young genius specializing in artificial intelligence and robotics. Paul moves to a new town with his mother and his self-built, highly intelligent robot companion named BB. He quickly links up with a local paperboy named Tom and falls for Samantha, the sweet girl next door who lives under the thumb of an abusive father. Tragedy strikes twice in rapid succession. First, a paranoid, grumpy neighbor destroys Paul's beloved robot BB with a shotgun. Shortly after, Samantha's father pushes her down a flight of stairs during an argument, leaving her clinically brain-dead on hospital life support. Desperate and refusing to lose her, Paul steals Samantha's body from the hospital. He implants BB’s microchip into her brain to save her. Samantha awakens, but she is no longer entirely human; she possesses the cold, mechanical instincts of the AI, mixed with a violent urge to take revenge on those who wronged her and BB.
