Brief Description  An American Werewolf in London is a 1981 supernatural horror comedy film written and directed by John Landis. Renowned for its unique blend of dark wit and visceral horror, the movie centers on David Kessler (David Naughton) and Jack Goodman (Griffin Dunne), two American college students backpacking through the Yorkshire Moors in England.

Plot:
While walking through the countryside at night, the local villagers warn the duo to stay on the road and "beware the moon." Ignoring the advice, they wander into the moors and are savagely attacked by a large, monstrous wolf. Jack is brutally killed, but David survives with severe bite wounds before the locals shoot the beast, which reverts to a human corpse. David awakens three weeks later in a London hospital under the care of Nurse Alex Price (Jenny Agutter). As he recuperates and starts a romantic relationship with Alex, he is visited by the increasingly decaying ghost of Jack. Jack explains that they were attacked by a werewolf, and because he died an unnatural death, his spirit is trapped in limbo until the werewolf's bloodline is ended. Jack urges David to commit suicide before the next full moon. David dismisses it as a hallucination born of trauma until the full moon rises, forcing him through an agonizing, body-altering transformation into a four-legged beast that terrorizes the streets of London.
