Brief Description  Curse of the Black Widow is a 1977 made-for-television horror movie directed by Dan Curtis that follows a private investigator tracking a series of murders committed by a woman who transforms into a giant spider. Clocking in at roughly 100 minutes, the movie is widely remembered by fans of 1970s horror for its campy, over-the-top premise, flashy "Movie of the Week" fashion, and unique multi-eyed spider point-of-view camera shots.

Plot:
The story follows Mark Higbie (Tony Franciosa), a cocky Los Angeles private investigator. He is hired to investigate a series of gruesome murders where predominantly male victims are found mutilated, completely drained of blood, and encased in silken, webbed cocoons. His investigation leads him to twin sisters Leigh Lockwood (Donna Mills) and Laura Lockwood (Patty Duke). Higbie eventually uncovers a bizarre and terrifying family secret: a ancient genetic curse passed down through the female line. Under the light of the full moon, the curse causes a woman—who also battles multiple personality disorder—to transform into a giant, human-sized black widow spider to stalk and kill her prey.
