Brief Description  Alucarda (originally titled Alucarda, la hija de las tinieblas) is a 1977 Mexican supernatural horror film directed by Juan López Moctezuma. Shot originally in English despite its Mexican production, it is a prominent cult classic frequently associated with the "nunsploitation," gothic horror, and satanic panic subgenres.

Plot:
The story is set in a strict, remote Catholic convent during the late 1800s. Following the death of her parents, a 15-year-old orphan named Justine arrives at the convent and quickly befriends Alucarda, a mysterious, intense girl who has lived there since infancy. The two girls form a deep, passionate bond with strong romantic undertones. During a walk in the surrounding forest, they encounter a sinister figure (often interpreted as Satan or a gypsy leader) and accidentally unleash an ancient, demonic force. After engaging in a blood ritual to seal their friendship, both girls become possessed. Their descent into darkness turns the convent upside down, triggering a wave of blasphemy, bloodletting, sexual repression breakdowns, and violent madness that forces the desperate nuns, a sadistic priest, and a skeptical doctor into a brutal showdown between religious absolute law and supernatural chaos.
