Brief Description  Vengeance of the Zombies (originally titled La rebelión de las muertas, or Rebellion of the Dead Women) is a 1973 Spanish horror film directed by León Klimovsky and written by its star, Euro-horror icon Paul Naschy. The film is a surreal blend of British mystery, Euro-sleaze exploitation, Eastern mysticism, and traditional voodoo tropes.

Plot:
The story is set in and around London, where a masked maniac is terrorizing the city by brutally murdering young women. This killer is Kantaka, an evil voodoo sorcerer who uses the blood of his victims combined with mystical chants and wax idols to resurrect the dead women as fully compliant, blue-faced zombies. Kantaka's ultimate goal is to build an undead army to exact revenge on the people who previously deformed his face and to complete a grand ritual for immortality. Concurrently, a wealthy young woman named Elvire Irving (played by Rommy) becomes heavily infatuated with Krisna, a peaceful, robe-clad East Indian swami and mystic. Seeking spiritual enlightenment, Elvire follows Krisna to his isolated country estate in the town of Llangwell.

The estate—colloquially known as "the Devil's House"—has a dark history tied to a cursed family who supposedly made a pact with Satan. As Elvire stays at the estate, she experiences terrifying, surreal nightmares. Meanwhile, her boyfriend, a psychologist specializing in the occult named Dr. Lawrence Redgrave (Vic Winner), is recruited by Scotland Yard to help solve the gruesome string of ritualistic murders. The investigation eventually leads Lawrence directly to Krisna’s estate, where the mystery behind the murders, the zombies, and the true identity of the cult leader unravels. Depending on the region and release format, the film has been distributed under titles like Walk of the Dead, Revolt of the Dead Ones, and The Rebellion of the Dead Women.
