Brief Description  The Legend of Hell House (1973) is a British gothic supernatural horror film about a team of researchers who spend a terrifying week inside the notorious Belasco House to prove or disprove life after death.

Plot:
A wealthy dying millionaire named Rudolph Deutsch hires physicist Dr. Lionel Barrett, his wife Ann, devout spiritualist Florence Tanner, and physical medium Benjamin Fischer (the sole survivor of a disastrous 1953 expedition) to investigate the infamous Belasco House. The mansion once belonged to Emeric Belasco, a sadistic and murderous multi-millionaire known as the "Roaring Giant," whose hedonistic and brutal lifestyle led to numerous deaths and madness before he mysteriously disappeared. Dr. Barrett relies on scientific gadgets and rationalism to measure and neutralize the energy, while the mediums experience escalating physical and psychological terror from Belasco's lingering, malevolent presence. As members of the team are pushed to their breaking points by poltergeist activity and psychological torment, Fischer eventually uncovers the true nature of the haunting and finally puts the spirit to rest.
