Brief Description  Werewolves on Wheels is a 1971 American biker-horror exploitation film directed by Michel Levesque that blends the outlaw motorcycle gang genre with supernatural monster horror. The story follows an easygoing motorcycle club called The Devil's Advocates who, during a cross-country journey through a barren desert, encounter a mysterious Satanic cult that places a curse of lycanthropy upon them. Despite its legendary, campy title, the movie plays more like a slow, hallucinatory 1960s-style road film with the actual werewolf action reserved primarily for the climax of the film.

Plot:
The film opens following the daily life and rowdy antics of the Devil's Advocates. Led by Adam (Stephen Oliver), his girlfriend Helen (D.J. Anderson), and the mystic-leaning Tarot (Deuce Barry), the gang spends their time riding through the California desert, doing drugs, and causing minor trouble. Needing a place to rest, the gang pulls into an isolated, seemingly abandoned church monastery. There, they meet a cult of black-robed monks led by a leader named One (Severn Darden). The monks appear friendly at first, feeding the bikers and offering them wine. After drinking the drugged wine, the bikers fall into a deep sleep. While they are incapacitated, the monks perform a surreal, slow-moving midnight ritual. They use a live cat in the ceremony and attempt to sacrifice or ritually bond Helen to Satan.

The bikers awaken, disrupt the ritual, rescue Helen, smash up the church, and escape into the night. Unbeknownst to the gang, the monks successfully placed a werewolf curse on Helen. As they continue their road trip, a mysterious, hairy beast begins slaughtering members of the gang one by one whenever they camp for the night. The remaining bikers eventually uncover the horrifying truth when Helen fully transforms into a werewolf. The curse spreads, turning other members (including Tarot) into bloodthirsty monsters. In a frantic, tragic finale, the survivors are forced to kill their own infected friends, leaving Adam devastated as the film loops back around to the bleak desert road.
