Brief Description  Warlords of Atlantis (also released as Warlords of the Deep) is a 1978 British science-fiction adventure film directed by Kevin Connor and starring Doug McClure, Peter Gilmore, and Shane Rimmer. The film follows a turn-of-the-century maritime expedition searching for the legendary lost continent of Atlantis near the Bermuda Triangle.

Plot:
Archaeologist Charles Aitken (Peter Gilmore) and his father Professor Aitken hire a ship to test an advanced diving bell engineered by Greg Collinson (Doug McClure). Deep in the ocean, they discover a mysterious golden statue and encounter prehistoric sea monsters. Greed takes over the ship's crew, who launch a mutiny to steal the gold statue. During the chaos, a giant octopus attacks the ship and drags both the scientists and the mutineers to the bottom of the sea. The survivors awaken in a vast undersea cavern system containing Atlantis. They learn that the Atlanteans are actually a hyper-intelligent alien race from Mars who crash-landed on Earth centuries ago. The alien elites view humans as inferior and use shipwrecked sailors as slaves. Seeking to establish a totalitarian, military state to rule the surface world, they attempt to mind-control and recruit Charles due to his high IQ. Greg Collinson must fight through psychic powers and an array of bizarre subterranean monsters to rescue his companions and escape back to the surface.
