Brief Description  Laserblast (1978) is a low-budget American science fiction film directed by Michael Rae and produced by Charles Band. The movie is widely recognized as a cult classic of "schlock" cinema and famously gained notoriety after being featured in the season seven finale of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Despite its minuscule $280,000 budget, the film is notable for its stop-motion animation sequences created by renowned animator David W. Allen to bring the alien creatures to life.

Plot:
The story follows Billy Duncan (played by Kim Milford), an unhappy, bullied teenage loner living in a sleepy desert town. After being humiliated by local bullies, harassed by deputies, and neglected by his mother, Billy wanders into the desert. There, he discovers a high-tech laser cannon and a mysterious metallic pendant left behind by an alien creature that was executed earlier in the film. Billy finds that he can fire the weapon while wearing the pendant. Initially using it for fun, he quickly goes on a murderous rampage, destroying cars, buildings, and executing revenge on the people who wronged him. However, the power source possesses a corrupting, Jekyll-and-Hyde effect—gradually mutating Billy into a green-faced, grotesque alien creature. As his destruction escalates, both local authorities and the original alien owners track Billy down to retrieve the weapon, culminating in his eventual death.
