Brief Description  Castle of the Walking Dead (1967), also known as The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism and The Blood Demon, is a West German Gothic horror film directed by Harald Reinl and starring Christopher Lee, Lex Barker, and Karin Dor. Loosely inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum, the film combines vibrant expressionistic visuals with traditional macabre tropes.

Plot:
In the 18th century, an aristocratic tribunal sentences the evil Count Frederic Regula (Christopher Lee) to death. He murdered twelve young women to use their blood in a secret potion for immortality. The thirteenth intended victim escapes, helping authorities capture the sorcerer. The court orders him drawn and quartered by horses. Before dying, Regula promises revenge on the children of both his prosecutor and the surviving girl. Thirty-five years later, Roger Mont Elise (Lex Barker)—the son of the presiding judge—receives a mysterious invitation to visit Regula's ruined castle. On his way through a surreal, eerie forest filled with hanging corpses, Roger encounters Baroness Lilian von Brabant (Karin Dor) and a priest. They arrive at the isolated castle, which is overseen by the Count's eerie manservant, Anathol. It is revealed that Regula is actually alive as an undead being. He needs the blood of Lilian—the descendant of the 13th victim—to complete his elixir and restore his full physical form. Roger and Lilian are trapped in elaborate torture chambers before a fiery climax destroys the castle and breaks the curse.
