Brief Description  Planet of Blood (originally released as Queen of Blood) is a 1990-set 1966 sci-fi horror film directed by Curtis Harrington. It stars John Saxon, Dennis Hopper, and Basil Rathbone. A rescue crew investigates a crashed alien ship on Mars and brings a green-skinned female vampire back to their ship, where she drains the crew of blood.

Plot:
In the year 1990, Earth’s International Institute of Space Technology, led by Dr. Faraday, receives radio contact from an alien civilization announcing they are sending an ambassadorial mission to Earth. Soon after, the alien vessel transmits a distress signal and crashes on Mars. Dr. Faraday dispatches an initial rescue rocket from a lunar base, but the ship sustains damage upon landing and its crew finds only dead aliens. Earth launches a second spaceship manned by astronauts Allan Brenner and Tony Barrata. Utilizing observation satellites, they locate a crashed alien escape pod on a Martian moon.

Inside, they find a single, living survivor: a striking, mute female alien with glowing eyes and green skin. The astronauts take the alien woman aboard their ship to transport her back to Earth. During the journey, she uses hypnotic allure and supernatural powers to seduce and overpower the male crew members one by one. She vampirically drains them of their blood to survive, leaving the remaining crew in a desperate race against time. The remaining astronauts manage to kill the alien queen, but during a final inspection of the ship, they discover she has left behind hidden clutches of glowing alien eggs. The film closes on an ominous note as the ship approaches Earth, implying that the alien threat is far from over.
