Brief Description  Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter (1966) is an infamous, low-budget B-movie directed by William Beaudine. It blends the Western and horror genres as outlaw Jesse James on the run in Mexico encounters Dr. Maria Frankenstein, the granddaughter of the original mad scientist, who turns his wounded friend into a monster.

Plot:
Fictionalized outlaw Jesse James (John Lupton) and his gang "The Wild Bunch" plot to steal $100,000. One of his own men betrays the group, tipping off Marshal MacPhee. The lawmen ambush the gang, killing almost everyone except Jesse and his fiercely loyal, muscular partner, Hank Tracy (Cal Bolder), who is gravely wounded. Fleeing into a nearby Mexican village, Jesse and the injured Hank encounter Juanita Lopez (Estelita Rodriguez) and her family. Juanita warns them that the local children have been mysteriously disappearing. Desperate to save his friend, Jesse takes Hank to a nearby hilltop mansion where an unusual "doctor" has set up shop. The mansion is occupied by Maria Frankenstein (Narda Onyx) and her brother Rudolph (Steven Geray). They fled Europe to continue their grandfather's bizarre artificial brain transplant experiments, utilizing the local area's frequent electrical storms.

Up to this point, Maria's experiments have repeatedly failed because her test subjects (including the missing children) were "too weak" to survive the duothermic impulse machine. Upon seeing the massive, hulking physique of Hank, Maria realizes she has found the perfect specimen. While Jesse is away, Maria tricks him by sending him to town for a fake prescription. She proceeds to surgically implant an artificial brain into Hank's skull, wiping his memory and turning him into a mind-controlled monster she renames "Igor". Maria attempts to use Igor to kill Jesse after her romantic advances toward the outlaw are rejected. Jesse returns to the lab and is forced to fight his former best friend. Juanita arrives to assist, and during the chaos, Maria is ultimately killed by her own creation when Igor turns on her. With the nightmare over, Hank dies, and Jesse rides off into the sunset.
