Brief Description  The Last Man on Earth (1964) is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror film starring Vincent Price as Dr. Robert Morgan, the sole immune survivor of a global plague that transformed the rest of humanity into slow-moving, nocturnal, vampire-like creatures. Based on Richard Matheson's 1954 novel I Am Legend, the film follows Morgan's grim daily routine of staking the dormant monsters by day and barricading himself inside his garlic-and-mirror-festooned home by night.

Plot:
Morgan spends his daylight hours hunting the infected in their resting places and gathering supplies, haunted by memories of his lost wife and daughter. Morgan discovers Ruth Collins wandering in the daylight and brings her in, eventually performing a blood transfusion that reveals his blood is a cure for the infected who take stabilizing medication. Morgan learns that a new society of semi-recovered, medication-using infected views him as a ruthless serial killer who slaughtered their comatose loved ones during his daylight "hunts". Hunted down by this new militant survivor faction, a wounded Morgan staggers into a church where he is killed, realizing with his final breaths that he has become the terrifying legend of the new world.
