Brief Description  The Kiss of the Vampire (1963) is a Gothic horror film by Hammer Film Productions, directed by Don Sharp. It follows a honeymooning British couple, Gerald and Marianne Harcourt, who get stranded in rural Bavaria and fall prey to a sophisticated cult of aristocrats leading a secret vampire society.

Plot:
Newlyweds Gerald and Marianne Harcourt run out of petrol while driving through rural Bavaria and find themselves stranded in a remote, eerie village. The local innkeeper greets them with quiet suspicion, but the wealthy and charming Dr. Ravna soon invites them to dinner at his imposing mountaintop chateau. During a masked ball at the chateau, Gerald feels faint and Marianne vanishes, later appearing before a gathering of robed vampires as their newest inductee. The next day, the villagers and innkeepers claim Gerald arrived entirely alone and that Marianne never existed, plunging Gerald into a frantic search.

Gerald meets Professor Zimmer, a grieving local scholar who lost his own daughter to Dr. Ravna's cult and agrees to help Gerald rescue Marianne. Professor Zimmer and Gerald infiltrate the chateau during a full moon, rescuing Marianne while the cult is temporarily warded off by crosses and daylight. Zimmer performs an arcane ritual using the Seal of Solomon, which unleashes a massive, supernatural swarm of hellish bats upon the castle. The bats overwhelm and destroy the trapped vampires, freeing Marianne from the spell and allowing the survivors to escape.
