Brief Description  Eegah! (widely released in 1962 / sometimes cataloged or seen in 1965) is a classic, campy American independent low-budget science fiction comedy-horror film directed by Arch Hall Sr. under the pseudonym Nicholas Merriwether. It stars Richard Kiel as a towering prehistoric giant, Arch Hall Jr. as a swinging teenage pop-singer boyfriend, and Marilyn Manning as the heroine.

Plot:
Young socialite Roxy Miller (Marilyn Manning) is driving her sports car through the California desert at night when a massive, seven-foot-tall primitive man steps out into the road. Startled, she nearly runs him over and faints. Roxy recovers and recounts the bizarre event to her gas-station attendant boyfriend, Tom Nelson (Arch Hall Jr.), and her adventure-writer father, Robert Miller (Arch Hall Sr.). Neither believes her initially, though they find huge footprints when they check the area. Eager for material, Robert Miller hires a helicopter to drop him alone onto Shadow Mountain to track down the caveman. When he fails to return, Roxy and Tom go after him in a dune buggy. Eegah captures Robert and later snatches Roxy, bringing them both back to his cavern hideout.

The cave features sulfur springs that supposedly explain the giant’s massive size and ageless longevity, alongside the mummified remains of his ancestors. Eegah develops a childlike, aggressive romantic fascination with Roxy. Her pragmatic father advises her to humor the caveman to stay alive. Roxy attempts to civilize Eegah by giving him a shave with lather, an infamous sequence where the giant laps up the shaving cream. Tom eventually sneaks in and helps Roxy and her father escape. Heartbroken and confused by the loss of his new companion, Eegah leaves his mountain domain and lumbers into Palm Springs, California, searching for Roxy. Eegah crashes a local pool party causing panic, though he mostly lumbers about harmlessly before police finally track him down and shoot him in a tragic finale.
