Brief Description  Creature from the Haunted Sea (1961) is a satirical horror-comedy directed by B-movie legend Roger Corman. Written by Charles B. Griffith, the film serves as a spoof of gangster films, spy thrillers, and monster movies—most notably Creature from the Black Lagoon. It is famously known for its minuscule budget, micro running time of 59 minutes, and an notoriously cheap-looking monster costume.

Plot:
American gangster Renzo Capetto (Antony Carbone) uses his boat to help a loyalist general and his entourage escape the island. They are carrying a massive portion of the national treasury. Capetto plans to murder the Cubans one by one, steal the gold, and blame their deaths on a mythical local sea monster. To make the deaths believable, his crew uses makeshift tools (like garden rakes) to mimic monster claw marks.

Capetto's plan runs into a major complication when an actual, bloodthirsty sea monster emerges from the ocean and begins picking off both the Cubans and his own crew. Infiltrating the gang is an inept American secret agent codenamed XK150, who goes by the alias "Sparks Moran" (Robert Towne). Despite being a spy, he is completely oblivious to the crimes happening around him and narrates the film in a hardboiled, film-noir style.
