Brief Description  Assignment Terror (originally titled Los monstruos del terror and also widely known as Dracula vs. Frankenstein) is a 1970 Spanish-German-Italian science fiction horror film. Written by Spanish horror icon Jacinto Molina Álvarez (under his stage name Paul Naschy), the film serves as a colorful, chaotic homage to classic Universal monster mashups, blending alien invasion tropes with Gothic horror. It is famously the third installment in Naschy's long-running El Hombre Lobo series, featuring his signature werewolf character, Count Waldemar Daninsky.

Plot:
The narrative functions similarly to a high-budget reworking of Plan 9 from Outer Space. An advanced alien race from a dying planet sends a vanguard to Earth to execute a complete extermination of the human population. Led by the calculating Dr. Odo Warnoff (played by Michael Rennie), the aliens determine that the most efficient way to conquer humanity is to manipulate our deep-seated superstitions. Operating from a hidden laboratory facility inside a remote, abandoned monastery, the aliens revive two deceased human scientists to help them execute their scheme. They travel across Europe to locate, resurrect, and mind-control Earth's most legendary, dormant monsters to build an unstoppable vanguard.

The invasion begins to crumble due to an oversight: the aliens fail to account for the deep, complex human emotions and passions residing within the dead scientists' bodies they have inhabited. Meanwhile, the local authorities catch wind of the anomalies and send in Inspector Tobermann (Craig Hill) to investigate. Tobermann successfully infiltrates the alien stronghold. In the chaotic climax, he manages to slay the vampire and turn the mind-controlled creatures against their masters. Waldemar Daninsky breaks free from his alien conditioning, unleashing a feral rampage where he fights the other monsters—ultimately helping to destroy the alien control hub and thwart the planetary invasion.
