Brief Description  Return of the Fly (1959) is a classic American science-fiction horror film directed by Edward Bernds, serving as the first sequel to the 1958 hit The Fly. Released by 20th Century Fox, the movie stars Vincent Price reprising his role as François Delambre, alongside Brett Halsey as the tragic protagonist Philippe Delambre. Unlike the color production of the original film, this sequel was shot in stark black-and-white.

Plot:
The story picks up fifteen years after the tragic death of scientist André Delambre. Following the funeral of his mother, Hélène, an adult Philippe Delambre demands to know the truth about how his father actually died. His uncle, François, reluctantly reveals André's secret laboratory and details the horrific teleportation accident that merged him with a housefly. Driven to vindicate his father’s genius, Philippe decides to rebuild the matter-transporter machine. Francois warns him against it but eventually finances the project. Philippe hires an assistant named Alan Hinds, unaware that Hinds is actually a wanted criminal and industrial spy named Ronald Holmes.

Once the machine is functional, Holmes attempts to steal the schematics and sell them. When Philippe catches him in the act, a fight breaks out, and Holmes knocks Philippe unconscious. To cover his tracks, Holmes brutally forces Philippe into the disintegrator booth, traps a housefly inside with him, and activates the machine. When re-materialized, Philippe is transformed into a grotesque creature with the head and claw of a giant fly, while a small fly with a human head escapes into the wild. The mutated Philippe breaks out of the laboratory to enact brutal, monstrous revenge on Holmes and his underworld co-conspirators. Ultimately, François and the police manage to capture the human-headed fly, recapture Philippe, and successfully reverse the molecular fusion, restoring Philippe back to full human form.
