Brief Description  Night of the Blood Beast is a 1958 low-budget black-and-white science fiction horror film directed by Bernard L. Kowalski and produced by Roger and Gene Corman. The 62-minute American International Pictures release follows a remote team of scientists tracking an alien creature that stows away inside a returning astronaut's rocket, using his corpse as a living incubator for its embryos.

Plot:
Major John Corcoran (Michael Emmet) becomes the first human launched into orbit inside the X-100 satellite. Something goes wrong during the mission, and his rocket ship crashes back into a remote area on Earth. A local team of tracking scientists, including Corcoran's fiancée Dr. Julie Benson (Angela Greene) and Dave Randall (Ed Nelson), rush to the crash site. They find Corcoran with no heartbeat or respiration. They declare him dead but notice his body shows zero signs of decomposition. They transport his body back to an isolated research lab. Suddenly, a strange electromagnetic field cuts the laboratory off from all outside communications and power.

While the scientists try to restore power, Corcoran miraculously wakes up with no memory of how he survived. Meanwhile, a hideous, stalk-eyed, clawed alien creature (played by Ed Nelson in a modified costume from Voodoo Woman) begins terrorizing the compound. The beast decapitates the base doctor, Dr. Alex Wyman (Tyler McVey). The scientists screen Corcoran under a fluoroscope x-ray. They make a horrifying discovery: the alien entity has used Corcoran's body as a living incubator, implanting rapidly gestating alien embryos into his abdomen.

Corcoran shares a telepathic, symbiotic link with the alien. He claims the creature's intentions are peaceful and that it wants to save humanity from self-destruction by offering immortality. Having eaten Dr. Wyman's brain, the creature even speaks to the group using the dead doctor's voice. The surviving scientists refuse to trust a head-hunting monster. They arm themselves with Molotov cocktails and hunt the alien down to an abandoned cave/mine shaft. They burn the creature alive. Realizing he cannot safely live with the alien larvae inside him, Corcoran sacrifices himself to ensure the threat is completely destroyed.
