Brief Description  Frankenstein's Daughter (1958) is an independent, low-budget American black-and-white science fiction horror film directed by Richard E. Cunha. The film is a drive-in era cult classic that moves the gothic legend into the modern setting of 1950s Los Angeles, centering around beach-going teenagers, secret serums, and the creation of a female monster. Shot in just six 10-hour days on a meager $60,000 budget. Despite the title, the primary monster is actually played by a man, Harold Lloyd Jr., because makeup artist Harry Thomas was not told the monster was supposed to be a female until he arrived on set.

Plot:
The narrative follows Dr. Oliver Frank (Donald Murphy), who is secretly the grandson of the original Dr. Frankenstein. Operating under an alias, Oliver works as a research assistant to Professor Carter Morton in a home laboratory. While Professor Morton believes they are collaborating on a drug to eradicate all diseases, Oliver has far more sinister motives: he wants to continue his grandfather's legacy by building the "perfect being" out of stolen body parts. To test his experimental formulas, Oliver spikes the fruit punch of the professor's niece, Trudy Morton (Sandra Knight). The drug causes Trudy to experience severe nightmares and subconsciously transform into a hairy, fanged, werewolf-like creature at night.

She wanders the neighborhood in her nightgown, terrifying residents and drawing the attention of local police detectives. Her handsome boyfriend, Johnny Bruder (John Ashley), initially dismisses her claims as mere bad dreams. Oliver's ultimate goal is realized when he murders a beautiful local teenager, Suzie Lawler (Sally Todd), to harvest her brain and body parts. He transplants her brain into a giant, badly stitched-together, bandaged creature. This creation becomes the titular "Frankenstein's Daughter," a mindless monster that obeys Oliver's commands and kills anyone who threatens to expose his secret lab.
