Brief Description  Invasion of the Saucer-Men (1957) is a black-and-white cult science fiction comedy-horror film directed by Edward L. Cahn and produced by James H. Nicholson for American International Pictures (AIP). Known in the U.K. as Invasion of the Hell Creatures, the film is widely celebrated for its campy, tongue-in-cheek style and its iconic "bulbous-headed" alien designs created by B-movie legendary monster maker Paul Blaisdell.

Plot:
The Accident: Teenage couple Johnny Carter (Steven Terrell) and Joan Hayden (Gloria Castillo) are driving down a local lover's lane without their headlights on when they accidentally hit and kill a bizarre alien creature crossing the road. The Frame-Up: Joe Gruen (Frank Gorshin), a slick, drunken town opportunist, stumbles upon the scene after the teenagers leave to alert the police. Joe plans to hide the alien's corpse in his refrigerator to exploit it for money. However, the alien's companions arrive and ambush Joe. They inject a lethal dose of pure alcohol into his veins using their retractable hypodermic fingernails. They swap Joe's body with the dead alien.

The Teenagers vs. The Town: When Johnny and Joan return with the town Sheriff, they find Joe's corpse instead of the alien. The police immediately accuse the teenagers of drunk driving and manslaughter. The Detached Hand: Meanwhile, the hand of the alien run over by the car detaches itself from the corpse. It sprouts an eyeball and begins crawling around independently, terrorizing the area.

The Resolution: As the military moves in to seal off the UFO landing site, the town's adults remain completely oblivious or unhelpful. Johnny, Joan, and a network of local teenagers are forced to mobilize and fight the alien threat themselves. They ultimately discover the aliens' fatal weakness: the creatures cannot handle extreme, concentrated beams of light. The teenagers destroy the invaders by cornering them and blasting them with their cars' bright headlights, causing the creatures to dissolve.
