Brief Description  Indestructible Man is a 1956 low-budget American science fiction and crime horror film directed by Jack Pollexfen. It stars Lon Chaney Jr. as Charles "Butcher" Benton, a brutal death row inmate who is double-crossed by his crooked accomplices and lawyer. After his execution in the gas chamber, a scientist's high-voltage electrical experiment revives him as a mute, super-strong, and bulletproof monster on a path of revenge.

Plot:
Charles "Butcher" Benton takes the fall after an armored car robbery because his gang—including his attorney Paul Lowe, "Squeamy" Ellis, and Joe Marcelli—betrays him. Sentenced to death, Benton goes to the gas chamber cursing his former partners and takes the secret location of the stolen loot to his grave. Following his execution, Benton's body is illegally delivered to Professor Bradshaw. Bradshaw is conducting unorthodox medical experiments using massive charges of electrical current in an attempt to cure cancer. When an immense jolt of electricity surges through Benton's corpse alongside experimental chemicals, it stimulates his heart and fundamentally alters his cellular structure.

Benton comes back to life, but the massive voltage permanently destroys his vocal cords, rendering him a silent, menacing force. Benton quickly turns on Professor Bradshaw and his assistant, killing them both in the laboratory. He stalks through the city's dark streets and storm drains, tracking down the men who set him up for execution. The former gang members panic as their old boss tracks them down and eliminates them one by one, completely unfazed by conventional weapons or police bullets. Police Detective Lt. Richard Chasen remains hot on the trail, trying to connect the murders back to the dead convict and find the missing robbery cash.

Benton corners his crooked lawyer Paul Lowe and stripper girlfriend Eva Martin, heading toward the city's utility infrastructure. Police and utility workers try everything to stop the monster, finally cornering him at a high-voltage power plant. When his unnatural cellular invulnerability inexplicably fades under a combination of heavy industrial flames and a massive surge of electricity, the unstoppable criminal finally meets his end.
